Re: RH 8.0 New Install Hangs



Random ideas to try...

  * Install the kernel-BOOT package and try booting that. (That's the
    kernel the install media uses. If it works during install, it
    should work after.)

  * Try the latest errata kernel, if you haven't already.

  * Try a newer or, as Jonathan suggested, older version of Red Hat.
    Red Hat 7.3 isn't ridiculously out-of-date yet. The latest beta
    also appears to be pretty decent. I'm running that on my new
    laptop (as well as my desktop), and I seem to recall that I had
    trouble loading 8.0 on the laptop.

  * Bring it to the meeting on Thursday and get everyone to help. :-)
