In my ./metacity/sessions directory I don't have the same file you
referenced above.  This is the filename that has the info you gave
above: 1069049234-12850-3891474126.ms and here's the part for
gnome-terminal:

The size above 80x46 is what my terminal is right now.  I can change it
and the entry for that file also changes.  So I don't think that if I
manually change the size in there that it will be saved and open the
terminal that size the next time.

I'm going to do some more looking on the gnome lists and the fedora
list, maybe even gnome bugzilla.  If I find anything I'll let everyone
know.
