I know this is off topic. The tech from Charter was out
yesterday and verified a small amount of packet loss and probably a bad modem.
He fixed both problems but one complaint still lingers. The download speed from
their news server is terribly slow, like just above dial-up speed, and he says
that a lot of former @home people have the same complaint. They have no plans
to improve the speed, ever! He suggested a different news server as a fix.
Anybody know of a good high speed, FREE, news server? I want my mp3’s! Thanks. Steve |
