if you really want to do mp3 encoding and playback i can get you some sdk's
and programs for it.  i found a swedish site that distributes a mp3 encoder
for linux.  the good part is its not illegal for him to do so due to the way
software cant be copywrited in sweden (well i think it was sweden).  as for
the legality of you dl-ing it and using it im not sure.
