FWIW, Red Hat 5's little ntsysv (I think that was the name) is kinda
spiffy.  It's basically a super-stripped-down version of tksysv that
just lets you set what you want run on bootup.  You can't set the
order or anything, but, most of the time, who cares?  Besides, the
defaults appear to be sane.

Best of all, the thing doesn't require X to run.  Yes, you heard it
here first, Red Hat has finally discovered that not everyone is going
to bother installing X, but they might still want user-friendly
configuration utilities.  Imagine that.  ;-)
