Fedora 20 development

With the release of Fedora 19 on July 2, the five-month development cycle for Fedora 20 began. According to the web site, the Feature List has been deprecated in Fedora 20 and replaced by the Change Set. Here are a few highlights:

* ARM (as in tablets) joins i686 and x86_64 as a primary architecture
* Run ARM virtual machines on x86 hosts with ibvirt/virt-manager
* NetworkManager gains bonding and bridging support
* An MTA (such as Sendmail) will no longer be installed by default
* Ruby on Rails goes to v4.0
* Perl version 5.18
* GLIBC 2.18
* GNOME 3.10
* KDE Plasma Workspaces 4.11

For those brave (crazy?) souls who want to dabble with an early alpha release, I've attached a download script for Fedora 20 Alpha test candidate #2. Put it in /usr/local/bin/, chmod it to 755, and chown it to root:root. Do the same with Steve's linkdups deduplicator. Then join the Fedora testing mail list at https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/test
