Re: Mac OS X hacked in under 30 minutes



I'm not really sure if this actually says anything about the Mac OS at
all.  I'm sure that there's exploits for a lot of the OS versions that
any of us run.  It' d probably be possible to hack any system any of
us run in under 30 minutes if it was just exposed to the open.  The
security of a single server isn't just dependent on whether or not
that particular server can be exploited.  The assumption should be
that any OS has these kinds of flaws, so you protect it through the
entire system it runs on (Software updates, firewalls, IDS,
best-practice networking, etc)

I'm not part of the Apple community in any kind of way.  Have they
purported their OS to be unhackable?

I've always said the only completely secure system is one that does not exist :D
