Some one had mentioned buying a dedicated device to firewall your
network - I've got a Snapgear SG300 which is an excellent firewall, but
it's also got a built in VPN server through which you can configure a
username and pass for external access to your network.  They used to be
cheaper but were purchased by Cyberguard and the price was raised....

Off topic, I just moved back to Carbondale from Denver and things are
pretty slow here during break.  Anyone up for shooting a game of pool?
