FWIW, I use Mozilla Thunderbird to connect to our MS Exchange server at 
work.  TBird works great for e-mail, but not so great for calendar or 
tasks via Exchange.  There were a few tricks to setting up the IMAP 
connection.  Post again if you want me to dig up the details.
