Actually it sounds like I am having the exact same problem on my laptop. I
haven't
taken the time to troubleshoot the problem yet but if I insert an audio cd
it totally
crashes KDE and sends me back to the login prompt. Data CD's work fine but
audio CD's are a definite problem.

I'm running FC2 with the 2.6.6 kernel. Not sure when the problem started but
I have WinXP and RedHat 9 on the same box and don't have the problem with
either of them. I'll make sure to post when I figure it out.
