apt, searching archives

Which apt-get should I install for Red Hat 9?

The one I was thinking of getting is:

   http://shrike.freshrpms.net/rpm.html?id=1212

Is that the right one?

Also, I'm pretty sure I've asked this question before and thought I'd 
search the archives.  But unfortunately, I do not see a search function 
for the list archives:

   http://silug.org/lists/silug-discuss/

Does one exist?
