[Fwd: New worm W32/Bagle@MM - New A/V Updates] (fwd)
It appears SILUG got hip with the latest and greatest.
Both Trend Micro and Network Associates report a new worm - WORM_BAGLE.A
(Trend Micro) or W32/Bagle@MM (Networks Associates/VirusScan). This
worm arrives as an e-mail with attachment with the subject as "Hi" and
the text as -
It will have an attachment with a random file name. If run between now
and January 28th, it will install itself within the system and begin
generating and mailing copies of itself to e-mail addresses found within
the system. It also acts as a Trojan by opening a port and listening
for further commands, and by checking for commands from various web
