Made for each other...

I'll set this up with a some recent release dates:

Microsoft Windows 2003 Server beta build 3763	Feb 15
Red Hat Phoebe 3 beta Feb 15
VMware Workstation 4 beta build 4183 Feb 28

These folks don't exactly have a history of getting their latest
products working smoothly with each other. Which is why it's so
surprising that they work together so beautifully.

I've just installed the new VMware for Linux as an upgrade on a Red Hat
8.0 host, then installed the latest Phoebe 3 beta and Windows 2003
Server beta as guest OS's a virtual machines. Our friends in Palo Alto
have obviously been burning the midnight oil making a long list of
improvements to VMware. It adds comprehensive support for these new
betas, plus an oldie-but-goodie: EMM386 for DOS. Check out the list of
features in release 4 at http://www.vmware.com/support/ws4/doc/.

Oh, and you no longer have to patch the vmware-config.pl setup file to
get it to run with Psyche. Sweet.
