Apache has been the feature of the bug-of-the-month club lately.  No
system running Apache has been safe out-of-the-box for a while now.

If you don't install updates regularly, you are going to get rooted.
If you don't like that fact, you need to look at something like
Immunix, which just might stand up even with such holes.

This isn't a Red Hat vs. Debian thing, or a Linux vs. whatever thing.
Apache had some holes, and probably still has some.  These things
happen.
