    plumb Open the device associated with the physi
           name  and set up the streams needed for  
           device. When used with a logical interfac
           command  is  used  to  create a specific 
           interface. An interface must be separatel
           use  by  IPv4  and  IPv6. The address_fam
           controls whether the ifconfig command app
           or IPv6.

            Before an interface has been plumbed, , 
           will not show up in the output of the ifc
           mand.
