Personally I would get a couple of ups (find the ones w/rj45 isolation)
and plug the cat5 from outside through the ups then into the hub, while
running the hub's power off of the ups.  Make sure you check the
warranty's and look at the fine print so if something happens the ups
company has to take care of you (you whoever).  I don't know much about
Tanzania but I would bet that their infrastructure isn't up to par,
which could mean spikes and drops in voltage.  Just that reason alone is
good enough to spend a little cash on a decent ups.

can  someone tell me if  there is any electrical isolation through a
hub or
switch??  If so the problem may not exist.
