Re: Using apt to upgrade from Red Hat from 7.2 to skipjack

I'm not sure if it's related or not, but if you look at the installation instructions for KDE 3.0, it reccomeds removing the older version of KDE before installing KDE 3.0.

Perhaps apt-get is smart enough to know the proper way to upgrade KDE... ?

Correction:
It was going to remove my KDE when I did an apt-get dist-upgrade.

sources.list:
rpm http://apt.freshrpms.net redhat/7.2/en/i386 os updates freshrpms
rpm-src http://apt.freshrpms.net redhat/7.2/en/i386 os updates freshrpms
rpm http://ftp.silug.org/pub/apt redhat/skipjack/en/i386/redhat os
