New kernel files ... what do I do with them?

Hello all!

I have downloaded what appears to be a new version of the kernel. How do I
update my system with them?

I have:
   kernel-2.4.3-12.i386.rpm
   kernel-BOOT-2.4.3-12.i386.rpm
(... and a few other files of this type).

So... what do I do with them? I'm guessing that I can't just use
"rpm -Fvh" and have a happy time of things. 8-)

Thanks,
Charlie Brune
